MARRIOTT MARQUIS: SAN DIEGO

Serving at the Marriott Marquis in San Diego, California on the Marina is a beautiful location for all your special corporate events and conferences. We’ve had the pleasure of getting to serve there a couple of times and each time was perfectly smooth and the staff was extremely helpful. At the hotel, they have a large convention style space just down a set of stairs upon entering the hotel that we served at for a huge convention for doctors and lawyers. When serving at this conference/convention, we started serving nonstop at that location where the bulk of the conference was located and all of the booths were set up. Halfway through the second day, we were told to move our station upstairs just outside another conference room, which was extremely easy and quick. The hotel staff there were very helpful and everything that we needed was right within walking distance. Once we moved upstairs, we found another large space with plenty of electricity for us to plug into and pick up where we left off.

The second time that we served there, we served at a different space to the right side of the hotel just outside of another conference room. We were located in a very large hallway space with a ton of other vendors. When we got there, the electricity plug ins weren’t at our location, but in no time their electricity technician was there to fix this problem for us and route a line of electricity for us to plug into.

The loading dock is very large, easy to load up and out your equipment. The back hallways and doors are large and easy to maneuver through to get to where you need to set up at. Parking is located underneath in their underground parking lot, and getting that validated is no trouble at all. Overall, we would say that serving at this San Diego hotel venue is very easy, smooth, the staff is very friendly and this is a place that we would happily serve at again.

WEDDING VENUES: LAS MARIPOSAS ESTATE

Being a caterer in the wedding industry, we get to see a lot of different venues and one in particular that we loved working at is Las Mariposas Estate in Fallbrook, CA.

From the beautiful landscape to the multiple different levels it has that creates different feels on each level to the amazing people that run that space. When we first went to this venue, we immediately noticed the beautiful trees and elegant plant life deliberately placed around the venue to create an extremely intimate feel.

We loved serving here because it is an outdoor venue with plenty of open space for the guests to dance, walk around, mingle, and sit down for the celebration meal. We had the privilege of serving under their outdoor gazebo, as shown in the picture below, where there was some real rugged stringed lights and plenty of space for people to order and pick up their drink without over crowding.

This venue is located on a hillside where there is plenty of isolation that just adds to that Intimate atmosphere. At the top level is where this gazebo and reception area is located, as well as a private building for the bridal party to get ready in.

This is easily one of our favorite venues to serve at!
